When I was little, I always wanted to be a housewife. To me, that was what peace was.
Unfortunately, to be a housewife today in this age, the couple needs to be exceptionally financially secure, at least in the US. Capitalism has made the "traditional" family idea impossible.
Of course, having been married and having quite a few relationships where the man wanted to rely on me in all aspects, I don't think I can be a 'traditional housewife" anymore. Any trust that I will be looked after the way I need has been stripped away long ago and now I only trust myself to provide for myself.

@Promises I wish I had had a partner that I could trust. Sadly, I seem to only attract men only interested in themselves and their needs. 🤷♀ It's one of the reasons I'm single. No one has managed to step up and try to repair my broken trust.
It's all good. It's just sad no ine wants the best of me by giving me the best of them.

@FoxyQueen Nope. I won't. Tried that since 2005, I'm too old now and nobody wants me hahaha, but I'm not sad about that. I do enjoy my time alone, but I wouldn't mind having a male best friend in a platonic way, to enjoy fellowship with, until God calls me home. Haven't been able to find that either. You are young yet and I pray that you will find your special person.
