I Love My Wife

It hurts that I can't have conversations with my wife like I used to. We used to talk for hours. After the subdural hematoma, she can barely speak or think. What she is able to say usually doesn't make sense. It's almost like she's stringing together random words. I miss my wife. Never take what you have for granted. You may not have it tomorrow.

Can your wife get surgery? I looked up subdural hematoma and it's usually treated by draining off the blood that's leaked into the area around the brain.

@purplepen She had that very surgery last week. ☺

@Gianni ok how drastic was the surgery? Because it could take weeks or months to recover from brain surgery.

@purplepen I'm not sure how to describe how drastic it was. I've been reading academic papers about this, and the case studies that resemble hers the most have an average of about 2 years for recovery. There's no established cause for the bleed, but I'm convinced it was her blood thinner.

@Gianni ok so there is hope!

@purplepen There's always hope.

@Gianni Hope and especially Love is all you need. Just know that she probably appreciates you standing by her and that makes her love you even more.😊
