I Believe Long Distance Relationship Can Work

I've met the love of my life five years ago and we've been doing ldr since then. Yes, weve never have been met, but I know what we have is real. In that span of five years we never missed a day without talking. We've been there for each other thru the good and the bad, and im proud of how far we've made it. It wasnt easy. It wasn't all fairytale, not always sunny. There are days where the negatives gets the best of us, there are times we will argue over petty stuff and our relationship might not be ideal for most people, but its ours. We make things work for us, because we truly love each other. I know God is working on us to be together, for He knows the desires of our hearts. So for anyone out there who is in the same situation like ours, Hold on tightly. This set up will never be forever, but we have to go thru this because God is preparing something beautiful for us and our partners.

How long is the distance? You've never met, not even once in five years?

I don't think you should be holding on tightly until "God" decides to bring you two together, I think you two need to seriously start taking steps in closing the distance or in the very least doing visits, or you'll be stuck in a relationship that technically isn't one if you've not even been in each others presence.

Ultimately, LDR's fail if there is no goal to have regular visits, or close the distance. Not trying to be mean, just honest. I was in an LDR and have now closed the distance, but I know that if we hadn't of worked hard to close that distance, things would have deteriorated and time, energy and emotions would have been wasted.

@maybesomeday its tough, and i just wished we had it easy just like you did. We are currently working on meeting up, once everything is settled down. We are dealing with some serious medical conditions so we have to carefully plan on everything. Thanks for dropping by my post, I do appreciate your insights! Pray for us though!
