I Believe Long Distance Relationship Can Work

Mine did, it worked out quite well. We both worked too much.. we met on EP, met up every 2 mos, called, texted daily and now..5 yrs later.. we are happily married. cool love story!

You can't predict how well it will go - but this relates to any relationship, regardless of how close or far away your partner lives. So the distance doesn't matter that much.

I wouldn't call it impossible. But, I don't think it can even come close to in person relationships. Close proximity and physical touching makes the brain explode with all kinds of pleasure and bonding neurochemicals. Not to mention pheremones, if humans have them.

So, even if the two go into it 100% seriously, if they meet someone they click with IRL, that's immediately going to be a more powerful bond, imo. With more benefits.

Unless they close the distance at some point before that happens, I'd call it like a 98% rate of failure.

The buddhists say pain stems from desire. At best, long distance just stimulates your desire and nothing else. Just causing pain, imo.

It demands a lot of both but it is not impossible.
