How important should we hold fidelity?

I do not know that fidelity in and of itself is important, but it inherits importance upon the foundations it rests upon: Trustworthiness and Responsibility.

It's not really about who sleeps with who, it's about the trust and understanding between partners. In an exclusive monogamous relationship, committing infidelity is the same as being untrustworthy.
