They teach us to have better relationship with and fuller awareness of oneself. Growth would be impossible without having relationships. It's how we evolve, with the good and the bad. Nothing is ever a mistake really or is ever wasted; its all valuable. But you decide how you want to look at it all. Again, it's all a matter of perspective.
