Well due to the new snapchat update now, when you're watching stories, when someone else's story ends it automatically takes you to another persons story without you tapping. So that's what's happening

Probably because he misses you, and thinks he regrets his decision. We all miss someone we've cared about, even if we're the one who's ending it.
