It's the best type of relationship... you love with your heart... It's not superficial.... if he's a truly good guy then f**k what anyone thinks ....

NigelDoes · 56-60, M
No, thankfully my family would never do something like that and aren't shallow. It's not cool at all that your family is doing that.
Ramon67 · 61-69, M
I've been there . My ex wife's family hated me and thought that I wasn't good enough for their daughter . That is yill about 5 years after the divorce . Her dad told me that I was good for their daughter .

Good for you for not being shallow....I don't get why you keep bring the poor guy somewhere he is not liked or wanted.

@KatieB: Does your BF know how they feel about him?
KatieB · 26-30, F
@Fernie: no it would crush him, I don't wanna tell him
Fernie · F
@KatieB: well, as long as your Mom and Dad don't treat him badly when he's there it's all good. If you did tell him he probably wouldn't go there anymore...shame on them anyways.

Screw them... ur right!
KatieB · 26-30, F
@fairone: I know. It's so hurtful when my mom says stuff like that
djjohnson · 41-45, M
Well first off most guys date up. If a guy thinks he is dating down then he is a loser of the worst kind and it wont end well.
Kenlepp · 41-45, M
To hell with them, do u love him? Do u find him attractive? Go with what you feel is right
KatieB · 26-30, F
@Kenlepp: I love him so much, I can't say I was initially attracted to him, but I fell in love with him as a person and with his personality. Great guy
Fernie · F
@KatieB: Lucky guy
