You can only vote on one answer.
Hi there humans! I pose the following scenario question:

You are a person in your early 30s. You can date a person of your preferred gender who is ten years older than you or ten years younger than you. Which do you choose?

For the purposes of the question their attributes other than age are identical.

I need to clarify my answer. I get along much better with younger guys. mentally we have more in common. But yes they can't be too young that's gross. I don't however think a relationship with one would work, because they seem to be players.

In your poll I answered younger, but now I'm not so sure. If the attributes are the same okay, but it's what they do with said attributes that will be different most likely. I remember changing a lot in my early 20s, so I would be more compelled to go for older for that reason.
Haha no I'd say 27 or 28 at the most!

That's a tough one. Can I just pick an older man who's young at heart and won't think I'm a dork for still sitting crisscross applesauce?

I'm not quite 30, but i always vote for older, more mature, established, less identity crises. I've got enough with mine

Well I think I qualify for a toyboy now so better go younger not that I'd ever choose based on age it would be the person beneath..

@Meisje thanks for the answer, I like your reasoning.

Older. 10 years younger would be too young. They wouldn't have 'lived' yet.
Sadly i just don't act my age and mentally i just relate better.
In my thirties I would go older , for their experience

@Findingherapplesauce I'm sorry I'm afraid the "old" man I'm imagining is misanthropic and will roll his eyes at everything unusual you do. :)

@Verbose I totally agree with you, therefore in the interests of fairness I have removed the word from the answers.

@callme I get what you mean about finding it easier to relate to younger people. Do you think that is because they are less cynical?
Definitely the older one.
