This is a very reasonable rant. You will be an awesome mom.

@GJOFJ3: Thank you, I needed encouragement !

I appreciate your strength.
Don't be afraid to sue for child support

@Newandimproved: I'm financially good, as I said, I understand him, didn't ask for much. Just to be present.
I'm personally very close to my father, and I would love if my children would have the same opportunity, but...Apparently, they won't.

@Agathalylee: given his response, probably best in the long run :)

GET CHILD SUPPORT
Agathalylee · 41-45, F
@Goralski: I don't think so to be honest...
Goralski · 56-60, M
@Agathalylee: this ain't about you anymore
Agathalylee · 41-45, F
@Goralski: I know, but I'm financially good, and he really doesn't want to be involved with me or with them, so...It won't be necessary.
updown2020 · 61-69, M
Wow great letter now just send it to him but whatever you do get child support it not the matter of you not wanting his money it a matter of him living up to his responsibilities if he did not want to become a father well he should've made sure protection was used it was not so pay up. Find out where he works and have the courts garnish his wages, As many people have said here children cost money and you need all the money you can get,
Agathalylee · 41-45, F
@updown2020: I actually thought long about child support but...As I said, I'm financially good.
And his responsibilities, he's already not facing them.
When he left me, he said things that hurt me badly, but it was things that I knew, and understood.
He said he wasn't ready, and he probably will never be. He said that he didn't want children, that he never imagined himself to be a parent. He said that he didn't want to have anything to do with them or with me. BUT he actually told me I will get child support. I refused.
I know him.
I saw it in his eyes how badly he didn't want this. And who am I to force him ? One should naturally face his mistakes. If he doesn't want to then...I don't need this.
Sorry if this is confusing, I'm a huge mess right now.
But thank you for your comment.

@Agathalylee: If you do not need his money that's great but again its not a matter of that it a matter of him living up to is responsibilities whether he want to or not and who are you to force him well you are the mother looking after your well the both of yours kids so you have every right to go after him. And if you really do not want the money well college is not cheap.

@Agathalylee: I'm sorry, that must be pretty difficult. Feel free to message me if there's anything you want to talk about in private.

@JP1119: Thank you very much for your support.
JP1119 · 36-40, M
@Agathalylee: You're welcome. You know, you look really cute in your avatar. Would you like to talk in private about your sexual experiences and fantasies? If not, that's okay, I completely understand.

Sounds like he was pretty straightforward though. No one should be forced into parenting and youre just as irresponsible here.
Newandimproved · 70-79, M
@Flenflyys: won't argue that.
but it's like speeding on the highway - you know they can pull you over and give you a ticket
so if you speed, and you get caught, well, you know the rules
thankfully never was an issue for me

@Flenflyys: He was, and I actually understand him. But I expected him to be a bit more mature about this. I didn't want kids either, but it happened, and the kid is not going to pay for our mistakes. I just thought he would think the same. But no, he didn't.
I'm not even asking for child support, or for him to stay with me. I just wanted him to be present, just to tell them; Hey, that person is your dad, you actually have dad, even if he is not present, you have one. Because I know it will be important for them.
Doesn't matter now anyways...

@Agathalylee: Well if neither of you wanted kids why did no one think of using protection?
Xuan12 · 36-40, M
I'm sorry to hear that. I'd have been thrilled to be in his position.
Agathalylee · 41-45, F
@Xuan12: Thank you, this supports me a lot.
notmyplace · M
How many kids are there in total?
Agathalylee · 41-45, F
@justJett: I suppose one ? I mean I don't know, that's why I said "they", still too early.
Tukudo · 41-45, M
😢
notmyplace · M
Your attitude on not needing the money, just the father part is a bit lame tbh. Put it into a college fund. The father part is up to him, his financial responsibility is not. Use your head, think ahead into the future.
Agathalylee · 41-45, F
@justJett: Thank you for your concern.
Again, financially, I'm really good, even if I accepted the financial "help" it wouldn't serve much because I already have what is needed.
And as I said bellow...I can see how much he doesn't want this, how much he doesn't want to be involved.
I don't want to force something that is supposed to be in him, responsibility and maturity that is.
Again, sorry if this is a bit confusing. I don't have the words to express exactly how I feel about child support.

Well then, I guess in that case, you got a kid. Enjoy!

@SimplyTracie: you mean keep them up, don't you?

@SimplyTracie: LOL, I got it the first time 😌
CaptainCanadia · 41-45, M
Holy shit I am so sorry. What a deadbeat asshole. Even if you don't want him in your life, chase him down for child support because he shouldn't have to leave you with the cost of childcare. What a coward.

@TyphoidJerry: You dont know the whole story.
CaptainCanadia · 41-45, M
You could say this about literally anything anyone says to you ever. Why sympathize with people at all then?
Agathalylee · 41-45, F
@kingfish2: Neither do you.
