The issue I have with the "nothing" answer is that usually the woman is assuming that the one asking the question knows what is wrong, which is a totally BS assumption.

I co consider myself to be fairly attentive, but I don't catch everything, and I'm definitely NOT psychic. The next time I'm told "nothing is wrong" I'm going to say "I know that's not true, but if you say so. I obviously don't know what is wrong, but if you feel like talking about you can come to me." I'm to the point where I'm done dealing with mind games or guessing games.

But in general, I do agree with you :) it's not mind games we play (this goes for both guys and girls) it's us wanting your attention. Without the havoc on your soul part lol.
