Is it reasonable to expect your husband to do things for you that they wouldn't do for anyone else

[c=#4C0073]or is that asking too much?

I was just having a conversation with a friend and she thinks that's unreasonable, but isn't that what happens when you're in love? You do things for them that you ordinarily wouldn't. Isn't that how you show that they aren't like the rest of them? Or am I way off on this? [/c]

Al-Bukhaari (55) and Muslim (1002) narrated from Abu Mas’ood al-Badri (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“If a Muslim spends on his family, seeking reward for that with Allaah, then it will an act of charity on his part.”
Spend can mean time, money, happiness etc.
