How Young Should One Start Dating?

I'm only 17 and I haven't been in any relationships whatsoever, but I've seen some of the juniors in my school that are like 14-15 who are in " serious " relationships.

A lot of my friends have at least been in 1 relationship whether it be short or long term.

i'm also 17 and i've also never been in a relationship... for me at least, i think one should start dating when one is already mature enough to handle the surprises that a relationship can bring... many get into it and just eventually find themselves caught up in trouble because they weren't ready yet in the first place... teenage pregnancy is one of the risks of immature and unprepared dating... i'd never get myself into it unless i'm already ready to get married because dating is just like a prep stage of marriage... when i tell others about this some probably think this is lame or weird... but this is my idea of what seems right when it comes to dating
