@Dreammmer: not necessarily. People make their mistakes. They just made and make a lot of them. I know what mistakes exist and what to avoid doing because of them. It will help me in life.

@Ephemeral: A role model encourages you how do handle sth and what to pursue, not the opposite. Your parents have not shown you and taught you how do deal with life and love in a good way. They might have shown you mistakes, but they have not taught you how to avoid those mistakes.

@Dreammmer: Pretty much the size of it. Thrown to the wolves is an accurate assessment in my case at least.

@Dreammmer: I learned, by watching them, how to avoid it. This is how they were role models. It's the positive side of things. You work with what you have.
