Is it a bad thing to be eccentric?

Some people like what they know,what they're used to. If it hurts someone or affects people's life in not a great way, it's not a good thing or you should reconsider. Depends on the detail and definition. Some people like eccentric people, some can only cope with them for a short while.

Unless the eccentricities are deeply disturbing in and of themselves.
