Boyfriend/babyfather acting weird

So he's acting weird with me, I'm pregnant with his baby but it seems like the more time goes on he's acting distant about the baby. I had to go to the ER today and I had messaged him to tell him I'm at the hospital, and he didn't get back to me until 8 hrs later, and he knew I had been ill for a few days. So he blows me off about his legs and how he's been working out and how he can barely walk and needs to take a hot shower. I mean I get that but I just felt it was a little insensitive. What is his problem?
