Would you travel to meet someone you haven't seen?

Someone you met off the net, I don't know why people do that.

Yes, after we have either FaceTimed or Skyped, so we've both seen each other in real-time.

I actually travelled 200 miles to meet my future 3rd now ex-wife after we started chatting in 2001 on an online dating site.

There is currently one woman on SW whom I'd meet, if she ever decides she wants to. We've already FaceTimed.

@EnigmaticGeek: well Skype to me doesn't show people in a true light. I know it's shallow but I've had a few shocks and let downs.

@Paleandpolluted86: Hmmm...🤔 I haven't actually Skyped with anyone, yet. I have the app. How does it fail to show people in a true light?

@EnigmaticGeek: well photos can fail too, I find sometimes that people who look really bad in real life look a lot better on pics.

@Paleandpolluted86: I can see that, especially if the pics are old. That's why I will video chat in real time--those images can't be old that way.

I have actually encountered people who look better in person than in their pics. From what people tell me, I'm also such a person. I think most pics of me, frankly, suck.

@EnigmaticGeek: i look better in person too. As I said in another reply women are more likely to be attractive.
