Why do (some) people who have affairs with someone who's married seem to wear it like a badge of honor?

Am I the only one who finds that rather twisted?

I suppose it's due to having grasped the attention of a "man" (or "woman") who has already vowed his/her attention elsewhere.

Knowingly doing so is pretty fucking evil.
