At my age (72), I consider anyone my peer who can tell me where they were, what they were wearing, and what they did when they found out that JFK had been shot.
If the man is very handsome or interesting, maybe I'd consider the RFK assassination adequate.

@greenmountaingal: Fair enough. JFK has been gone longer than I have been alive. Which is very sad.

@jfinn298: Everyone my age remembers the shock of the presidential assassination. Everyone my age remembers where he or she was when JFK died-- except for Richard Nixon and George Bush senior who have both stated they don't remember where they were. (Public records accessed by journalists say they were both in Dallas that day). That was a whole decade of assassinations in the US.
