As a Libertarian I dislike most things with the word government attached to it....

@ravenwind43: examples? :)
ravenwind43 · 51-55, F
@pianoplayingsteve: I can't be here all night lol.
I rarely talk politics here...it's a dirty business.

@ravenwind43: then give me just 3 examples. That should only take a few seconds considering you were so confident in your response :)
ravenwind43 · 51-55, F
Was it confident? I was being matter of fact.

Three things. I don't think the government should be involved in marriage, abortions, or force people to wear seat belts or be ticketed.

@ravenwind43: interesting stance
ravenwind43 · 51-55, F
@pianoplayingsteve: I don't know if it's interesting or just an example of intrusion where there shouldn't be any.

It's a tough one because there are many people out there too stupid or lazy to do things properly and safely without laws being in place. I live in the uk and it annoys me when people smoke and then have the tax funded NHS treat them, or more specific to your examples, not wear a seatbelt and have the NHS pay for their injuries

You need laws. Anarchy won't work. From most Libertarian's point of view is that if you want to ride without a seat belt it's your choice. However, the second part is a moot issue. No suing. You accept the responsibility of your choice and live with the consequences.
