I think that's all in your head. When i was younger and lived in a hick town, i had gay friends who could've easily been beat up. But this day and age, it's different. Gay men and women are more accepted now. Maybe you could move to a bigger city with a gay community, you might feel safer. Never be scared of being who you are. Life is SO short, dont waste your time worrying about others. Embrace who you are and get out there and have fun. Seriously, you deserve to be happy, just as you are. :)
