It matters to me because if I'm just a friend I want to gradually become the person they want. The best way to do that is to know what they don't like about me.

@Razoreye001: I think it's a far fetched idea but plausible 🤔 If a girl put you into the friendzone,it's not easy to get out.You might put all your effort into this,one day a guy walks into the scene and sweep her off her feet in minutes..some things can't be forced.
