Do you fall asleep over the phone with a friend?

I'm not talking about falling asleep because you're tired and you happen to be talking to a friend.

I'm talking about choosing to call a friend, talking with them and essentially have them fall asleep over the phone with you.

A female friend of mine and I do this essentially every night. We're not in a relationship (and that is a whole other thing at this point) and yet, without fail, when our schedule permits, she calls and falls asleep to my voice and presence. She lives over a thousand miles away, so nothing more can happen.

Isn't this something pretty intimate?
I can't imagine doing this with someone who is just a friend.
