Is it a compliment when a man calls you

Delicate?
Top | New | Old
Depends on the context.

what the wise one said (delicately)
GwydionFrost · 56-60, M
I'm with her on this one.
Simply reply with this. You'll find out quickly what his intentions were. 😜

delicate in what way?
SW-User
I asked him and he said as in soft
SW-User
@MissingNotes: soft as in weak? or soft as in gentle?
SW-User
I believe the latter ^^
i dont know this guy. but when i say a woman is delicate, i am saying that she is fragile.
@Fernie: No prob, Fernie. Funny this discussion comes up today. Spent this weekend putting together my fiancee's table saw..... i feel lucky to have a lady who gets that excited about cutting wood. LOL although she is quite beautiful, shes definitely not delicate. LOL

@MisterClean254: and she is lucky to have a MAN who respects and appreciates her independence and strength...very cool
i would say that i am very lucky.
SoulAsylum · 36-40, M
As broussard said depends on the context.
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
No. Sounds condescending.
Delicate as in feminine, yass.

Delicate as in high maintenance and afraid of hard work, no.
I agree. But, sometimes "high maintenance" is hard work and some are professionals at it. And there are a few lucky bastards that like it for some reason, obviously. Some guys do have all the luck, dude.
@softspokenman: Not exactly. I'm sure that high maintenance bit comes with a hefty price. Perks and Pitts.

It's a bit condescending imo but.. Better than other terms I guess 😒
The poet and writer in me says no. it is not an insult. Poetically, and in songs of old, delicate has been used many times, inoffensively , t describe a woman or certain facets of her-s such as her lips. In some Eastern cultures the word is used quite often to describe a lady.

But...if you are am "I am woman hear me roar" type person, the that type comment is going to offend you -as you are looking to be offended. And the ideas of being weak, fragile, frail, and cherished, will go against your beliefs of what you perceive yourself to be.

Also, I am twice your age, so I see things form a much different viewpoint.

It could be or it could be a judgement.
PaleandPolluted · 36-40, F
Yeah, another way of saying dainty.
Spokeskitties75 · 46-50, M
Depends on your personality. Some would consider it a compliment others not so much. I think it's a compliment in it's attempt
Depends if he's complimenting you on the softness of your touch then yes. If he's commenting on why you're in a fetal position after he's shattered your heart then no..
WildHeart · 41-45, F
Hmm I don't know, I dont think I would like to be called delicate.
Th1nkF1rst · 70-79, M
Beats being called "Tough" "Big Boned" or "Stocky" doesn't it?
PoizonApple · 41-45, F
That really depends on if that's a value you hold. Personally, I'd be a lil miffed.
Th1nkF1rst · 70-79, M
Yes, I'd Say so ... unless it's referring to your attitude.
thescalpmaster4 · 26-30, M
no, lol.

It's pretty obvious right?
SW-User
I just asked him and he said like a beautiful soft flower sooo 🌷
If a woman is (considered) delicate, there are some men who see it, appreciate it and need to express it. There are some who realize that it is a compliment that can be taken advantage of for personal reasons like psychopaths.
Are you Delicate ?
cycleman · 61-69, M
not if he is about to bite into his Corn Beef on Rye.
Jason7 · 31-35, M
I want to wear ur clothes
ReaperofTime · 46-50, M
Unless he says ohhh stop that little girl youll break those delicate little hands ;)
Fernie · F
I poke him in the eyeball and then he realizes that he was DEAD wrong
