How understanding would you be if someone dropped your friendship because they developed feels for you that you could not reciprocate?

Well of course. We'd not want to hurt anyone by being with us.
But still. You'd not feel anything for yourself about the situation?

Oh I'd be angry and heartbroken but deep down I'd get it. Particularly since it would likely have to be a pretty deep friendship to get to the point of unreciprocatable feels.
