How understanding would you be if someone dropped your friendship because they developed feels for you that you could not reciprocate?

I would understand. I have had feelings for women who did not or could not love me the same way back, and it hurts. I can see why one wants to get away, or move on. In my case, though, I do not do this. Rather, it is usually she who defriends me. But I understand that, too.
