Unfortunately, holidays stir up sentiments. It sounds like he hasn't gotten the message yet, that it's really over. Nor accepted it. I wonder if a simple one liner text would set him straight, like....."It's time to move on." would help? And say nothing more.

@Emily20: He'll want to engage you further by asking you what is that supposed to mean. Just respond with "Just what it says, it speaks for itself." If he persists, do not respond at all. No matter what he says.
