Depends... what are you chatting about? Would you mind if your s/o read the chat? Would you be 'ok' with them having Chats of the same nature with other people?
Do you have to delete the chat to prevent your s/o from seeing it?

If you're doing something with someone else that you don't want your partner to know about, I feel like that's cheating in a sense. Unless of course you don't want your partner to know because they overreact.
I think it depends on the topic of conversation. Subjects that at typical day to day stuff is not different then meeting a friend for a beer. If this is the act of sexting, and takes time away from the attention your partner deserves! Then it is. But, I think fantasy can be fun and also increase your desires at home. "Doesn't matter where you brows as long as you buy at home". We are sexual beings. It's healthy to have a little imaginative fun.

Like people have said before, it depends what you are talking about. If there's nothing to hide, then there's probably nothing to worry about.

I don't think so. If your chatting in a way that you don't want your spouse to know about that may be wrong, but I don't call it cheating.

I think respect works both ways.
If you live in fear of your phone or tablet being seen by your significant other, you have a problem !

Depends on what you're chatting about. A good rule is if you wouldnt say in front of your SO then yes.

If your SO would approve of the nature of those chats, then no, it's probably not.
