How Are You Spending Valentine's Day?

I'm doing an anti-valentine's with my boyfriend. Dirty slasher flicks, beer, and greasy food in our comfy clothes. IMO You should love one another every day, not spend money on a commercialized holiday.

But those who choose to go all out for Valentine's are special too. There are so many ways to make the day your own. <3

I make heart shaped shortbread cookies and frost them with red icing, and in pink icing (you know the kind that comes in little tubes?) I print the first initial on one cookie and last initial on a second cookie for each of my kids, grandkids, great grandkids, boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands and wives. They get two cookies each, and that's it. They can spend as much of their own money on whatever they want.

@SBelle: me too. And they're so easy to make. I like to drizzle melted semisweet chocolate over them while they're still warm and then let them set until the chocolate is no longer liquid. So yummy.
