What do you think of being 'chatted up' by a stranger during the day?

It totally depends upon the demeanor of the stranger. Someone who is natural, friendly and polite would be welcome. The leering sort who obviously only wants a new bedmate, not as much.

I guess it would be important to make your intention a pleasant encounter that has the possibility to go further but don't expect or require every female to respond in kind. Otherwise, I would prefer a nice afternoon conversation over shouting at each other over music in a club any day.
