Have you ever had a good partner, yet they are somewhat emotionally detached?

well, not a real partner if that counts.... I met up with a friend in Dubai two weeks ago for few days... we shared the room, shopping, hanging out, everything... it was supposed to be a kind of holiday or getaway, not romantic tho... but she was busy chatting with her family and friends all the time... once she gets internet, she's chatting and if there is no internet, she's just quiet most of the time... I am pretty sure she's not in relationship with anybody, but she was soo detached all the time... I am her best online friend though and I actually know most, if not all, of her secrets and problems!!
Does that count??
