How do you feel about artificially created intimacy?

Would it be ethical to use artificial intelligence to create a synthetic "perfect partner" that can fulfill your emotional and psychological needs without having true consciousness? What might be the long-term consequences for human relationships?

That's not intimacy. Its feeding a delusion. I do beleive many will sign up to indulge in their mental illness over getting help though

@MethDozer If delusion is someone's only option, why deprive them of it?

What should they be told? "Okay so your dating options are either horrid or non-existent, but you also cannot have any substitutes."

Unless someone is in the top 5% of attractiveness, they are either going to have to settle for a dating situation that s*cks or find an alternative.

Yeah people feed a lot of delusions, but if reality wasn't so harsh most of the time, it wouldn't be needed.
