How do you feel about artificially created intimacy?

Would it be ethical to use artificial intelligence to create a synthetic "perfect partner" that can fulfill your emotional and psychological needs without having true consciousness? What might be the long-term consequences for human relationships?

@AthrillatheHunt To my knowledge the legal basis of a pet trust is not that it considers your pet a person, but that it creates a legal framework for the care of your pet as your property. The pet is the subject, not the beneficiary. A pet trust is to care for the pet, but the legal beneficiary who receives funds is the trustee or caregiver. If you can legally claim a robot as your property then the same would apply to that

@Spectra I give it 5 years then till Japan has robot trusts, with corporations (not people bc that’s why we have this mess to begin with) serving as trustees
