I'm not sure about moral and ethical ramifications. However, it begs the question.
How long humanity can go, first, in general, we now prefer our pets for emotional support, a human-to-human connection loss. Resortin to artificial intelligence, to create intimacy, I think it's a quite lonely and uh, depressing. What it really means that humans will continue to lose the ability to communicate/interact with other humans.
Our ability to resolve conflicts
In an intimate relationship will diminish. As that partner will probably be a yes, person.
It will continue to advance my opinion pribably really means nothing. In many ways we are living it.

I think if someone were content with having an AI partner, they are not going to want to go back to dealing with an organic partner where conflicts are constant.
