@Hatt94: I've cheated while I was drinking. It was probably the biggest mistake that I made in my last relationship. But after I told him the truth we worked through it. I knew I would never cheat on anyone ever again. I was drinking and being stupid. It doesn't excuse it or make it right, but it was a factor. So yes it is different.

@Buzzinbrina13: at the time i think you wanted too. It wouldn't have mattered drunk or sober.
Drunk you are just more relaxed and dont care.

@Hatt94: I never would have done it sober, so yes, it does matter.

@Lillian: honestly babe, it's your decision. When I cheated, it was just me being drunk and stupid. It had nothing to do with my partner. We both cried when I told him & we worked through it. It was really really difficult, but we did it. We're not together now for other reasons, but if you do forgive him, you have to completely forgive him and make the decision to move passed it. You can't throw it in his face or constantly punish him by bringing it up. If you feel like he was sincere in his apology & if you feel like you want to salvage your relationship, then by all means, do so.
