How do you let a friend down gently who wants to be in a relationship when you aren't ready?

Make alternate suggestions that's more appropriate to the type of relationship you're comfortable with. I'm sure you want to be friends still so suggest "friends" type of activities/conversations.

@Adelh91: You just keep changing the subject and you'll be fine. I've been on the receiving end of that "let's be friends" stuff so I know how that is. 😂😂😂
