Why are some guys so enamored with chicks that are obviously playing them, and allow them to control their dating lives?
This is something I've always wondered. I was hoping it ends after high school, but nope.
Exhibit A:
A guy, let's call him P, is longtime friends with a girl. Let's call her R. It's very clear that P is enamored by R, and R absolutely loves the attention she gets from P, but is not romantically interested in him. Still, she eats up his attention and strings him along for years while she dates other men, and he somehow thinks he still has a chance. Any time P gets into a relationship with someone else or has another girl interested in him, R becomes very insecure and admits outright to P that she doesn't like these girls, trying to sway his decision. She clearly doesn't want him, but doesn't want anyone else to have him, either. Now, P also has an ex who is a lot like R, let's call her C. They broke up because she cheated and decided to dump him because she thought the grass was greener on the other side, so she is also clearly no longer interested in him, but is obsessed with the attention she still gets from him. She also blatantly dislikes anyone who is interested in him, but is much more two-faced about it. Somehow, P is absolutely enamored with these girls' opinions of him, and allows them to dictate his dating life by giving the cold shoulder to anyone these girls decide they don't like (a. k. a. everyone who is interested in him who they feel threatened by because the attention that is currently going to them might start going to them instead) and continuing to chase them, believing there is hope he will get laid by them, even the ex that chose to have sex with someone else instead and leave him. 😂 It's honestly pathetic AF.
What on Earth are these beta orbiters and cucks thinking? The only one who will be hurt by this situation is P. He is sabotaging his own dating life by allowing these chicks who continue to play him to control it for him. Like seriously dude, grow a pair and quit letting a couple of chicks who are using you to boost their own sad egos dominate you. Why on Earth do guys like him think so highly of girls like these anyway?
They treat them like shit, clearly don't care about what's in their best interest and instead want to use them, and TBH, most of the time they are not special in any way and are just easy. Is it just the hope of getting in their pants, even though that ship has clearly sailed? Like dude, they are clearly not interested and are preventing you from getting it anywhere else. 😂
