Does anyone know safe cities/states for women of color? I want to leave these small southern cities.

I was raised in Pinedale Wyoming. I was the only black girl in the whole school in the 2000s. Then my mother moved me to NC which is in the south. Living in these small racist cities is really affecting me mentally. I can’t make friends, everyone acts nasty towards me. White people keep trying to drive my car off the road. They see me as threat. I don’t have a big family as I don’t know my dads side and my mothers side died off when I was a teenager. My mother is retired with her disabled husband so she stays in this racist town but they never really have to leave their place except for food. I just feel like there’s no where safe for black women. Our men at times are a danger to us, and then a lot of yt people are evil to us. I have a bad feeling something is going to happen to me. I also feel like I’m being targeted because everytime I’m driving people flash my car, and I was told to flash them back. Then I decided I’m not going to do that because I already stick out. The other day when I leaving crumble cookie these two young white women blocked me in when I was trying to leave. I honestly just get the vibe they don’t like seeing black women that are pretty or have nicer cars than them. Something about them seeing a black woman drive a Jeep really pisses them off. I didn’t know it was that bad down here cause I just left VA as I was leaving a abusive marriage. This is really draining and I don’t know who to go too. I have to make a living and take care of myself. I can’t let these people intimidate me. I grew up to love everyone and please don’t think I’m making this up this is my life and it happens everyday. I’m shocked this is happening to me in 2023 but this is what happens in the real work in the South. Esp when your out numbered.

Sounds iegit. Are you playing a fantasy game, set in the late 1950s?

@Northwest That’s wtf it feels like honestly. I’m like wtf. The even crazier part is I moved to this city when I was 15 it very multicultural, they drove out all the blk business, the food, the culture and turned it into a sundown town. I can’t make this up. There’s isn’t even soul food spots here. This city use to be the city everyone would come to for night life, food, shopping, clubs, parties, skating rinks. One time I had a blk friend come to visit me and he was scared he was like girl you should’ve told me you lived way out here in this sundown town, he was followed. It’s began a little before covid. I don’t hate trump but a lot of blk people were pushed out this town when he was elected but during Covid he did do a lot of business and people. I’m not trying to talk politics cause I don’t know. They saw Trump as a pass to get rid of blk people.

@Northwest When I first moved back here I thought I was coming back to a lively town I grew up in. The first thing I said was where did all the blk people go. Where is all the food and life? Even my white friend told me they were ran out with a weird look on her face. Someone needs to write a book about this I feel like I’m in a Jordan Peele movie. : /
