Why don’t men compliment me directly, they just stare or ask my friend to tell me like we’re in middle school.

I’m very very awkward kinda quiet reserved and in my own world. My personality is like Wednesday Adams if she wore pink. When men look at me they don’t smile, they stare and they run off or scurry away from me if I even talk to them or be nice. My friend reassured me that it’s not me and that I’m really pretty. Because I been scaring men away so much, I thought something was wrong with me. Until last night I realised men are really scared to talk to me, I had to make a stop with a friend and she tells me her step son thinks I’m really pretty. When I first saw him I was like that’s my type immediately, travis barker, blink 182 looking type of retired drummer look. 😂😂😂 I kept looking at him and sparking conversation but he scurried away and then text my friend as soon as we drove off that he thinks I’m really cute. Then I asked my friend why do guys do this to me why do they act so afraid to tell me they like me or think I’m pretty to my face, or show interest to my face.

If you're pretty enough that they're a little scared to get shot down or blow it, you get that reaction
