When did it become cool to be so selfish and inconsiderate with no regard for others?

it seems to becoming more and more the norm now sadly. manners and respect for others seem to be going away. treating people with dignity and having integrity is also going away

Back in the 80's the push was on for "everyone is a winner" and "it's not your fault". It made the narcissism problem expand.

It`s never been cool as far as I`m concerned.
