I did, for a while, but for some reason our families frowned on it. He was my uncle's stepson. Not my cousin. My uncle married his mother when he was 18. I never met him until he was 22 and I was 17. But the families didn't want cousins dating. Silly, really, because I met him, dated him for a few days, and then I came home to Canada, and he shipped out to somewhere, I don't know where.

[@iamronnie: simple actually, it was in 1961. Things were weird. I have no idea what they were worried about. Perhaps they thought he would take my virginity. They were wrong. He was just being nice to me because I was a visitor to their city and knew no one.

@iamronnie: why would he. He wasn't ever interested in me. I was already interested in the man I married. The family was nuts. For all I know he got married and had a dozen kids. Or died in some battle somewhere. My uncle died, his wife remarried and we heard nothing more. If he's alive, he's 77 now. I'm 72, and not interested.
