My mom and dad are 9 years apart. No one ever cared. And she got married to him when she was 19, amd he was 28.The technical socially acceptable limit is half a mans age + 7. Anymore than that, and it starts to become socially unacceptable in increasing intervals dependent on the gap.
I have dated several women older than myself, but each time it seems those around me have something negative to say about it. I don't know if it's just them, or society as a whole.
I think its wrong to judge. If two people like each other, thats all that matters. Then again, Im a 50 yo guy who is in a semi relationship with a 32 yo woman.
Older men, younger women are still very much accepted by society. Mick Jagger at age 73 just had a child with a 29 year old. Our president elect at age 70 has a 46 year old wife (who he may or may not 'trade in' when she turns 50), but Hillary was the one detractors described as "too old" to be president.
