I always hated when people mention dating/marrying up or down.
As in when it comes to looks, wealth etc.
They are all very shallow reasons to even marry/date someone. It’s also very cruel and unnecessary to speak about another human in that manner. Dehumanizing as well for the person who would be viewed as dating “up”, do you think they only want to be judged on just their looks and wealth? They’re people too.
It also bothers me that they’re aimed at OTHER peoples relationship. Obviously they see something they love in each other, so are they really marrying “down”? Or are you just mad that you’re living an unfulfilling life?
