Do you respect the man who asked you to marry him? Does he respect you???

If not, better think it over. It matters greatly what you think of the person you're marrying, and what he thinks of you, before you marry! Where there's no trust or respect, there's no relationship, to begin with and that is so important! Not a solid foundation for starters.

@Thinkerbell I'm glad and happy to see that you have good common sense. However, much too often, people marry for other reasons. They don't even stop to think if there's any respect in the relationship. People get in a hurry and get married or they marry for money, or they marry to get out of a situation or for profit. Sadly, some people's motivations, are not with the best intent, to say the least. In contrast, some stay married even though they want out, because it's just easier to go along. And that's no way to live.
