Um doesn't that just mean there's only a 20 percent chance you'll meet the person you'll marry before you're 16? And after that you've got 50 plus years to find someone?

I can't imagine it's unlikely but 80% seems a little high.
What's that joke? "86.3% of percentages are made up."
Something like that.

16 or older... so, in order words, from the age of 16 to death, there's an 80% chance you've met the person you'll marry, including the people you might already have married? Sounds reasonable though 80% seems a little high considering quite a few people just don't ever get married 😂

SO, in my humble opinion, this could only possibly apply to people who are never going to move out of the area that they live in and they are never going to travel or go to University or anything like that.. this is total rubbish..

Well, the median age is around 40, and most people have married by that time if they're going to at all, and people don't usually get married right away, so it's not that surprising.

If I was asked between the ages of 16 and 23 it would be false, unless I'm one of the 20%.

I call bullshit. At least in my case.

I'm with the 20%!

What a crock of shit.

I'd say it's not true

Anything is possible. I believe msybe some have and some haven't. How could you prove it to be fact anyway. To much is depended on future unseen events. Or you'd have to poll the entire world married population and hope they're honest.

That number seems a bit high, but I know several married couples who dated in highschool.
