what is a relationship to you?

for me a relationship is a physical journey. I really do not comprehend these distance relationships without prior meeting.

Someone once asked me if I wanted to try a relationship....it was purely based online and sadly I rebelled against the idea and concept....how can you hoestly do this?

There is an awful lot of power in a online relationship but when it comes to making it physical I know from experience that it can fall apart big time...so

how do you keep your long distance relationship alive?

I had a long term online one where we never met. (Impossible circumstances) and it was good for a long time. However, like ANY relationship you can grow apart, and the relationship loses it's "newness." Personal problems affect things, and so on.
The only difference is the lack of sharing physical spaces and touching. Still, one can be in a relationship where physical space is shared, and still be entirely alone and neglected.
One is not better than the other, it is just different.

yes often when you are online in a relationship you are closer than you would be in a physical relationship simply because the communication is more constant and clear....

Exactly. In a physical relationship it's easier to disengage and have silences and not interact. But with online it takes a more intense commitment to keep that going.
