Important Question

I have a pen pal that I've known since i was like 7. We would write letters to each other when i was in 2nd grade and he was in 5th. We kept it going and still talk now. We ever skype, roleplay, and game together. He is one of my best friends, but he just said he is in love with me and had a crush on me for awhile. He knows i'm gay, I don't understand what his is thinking. I don't wanna ruin our friendship. What should I do?

Try to just stay friends and tell him that you need time to think and keep him waiting for long time.. and then just say you tried but didn't feel the way he feel for you. And it's better to both of you to be friends.

@Sej1976uk: This one is a very old pen pal for her and it's difficult. Hope she chooses the best advice. Best is that keep him waiting for a month and then tell him. Or Be honest now and go through that painful time.
