Is it pointless to get married if you don't want kids?

My girlfriend and I wanna get married but she wants to focus on her future career and says she doesn't have time for kids, and I don't think I'd be a good parent at all.

Uh, no. Marriage isn't just about kids. There are many married couples in the world without kids, either by choice or by medical reasons. Marriage is about committing to your loved one and becoming a family. Not just making a family.

@SW-User It's always been a dream of mine to get married, it's just my mom expects grankids and I'm not sure how to tell her I don't want to have them.
