My hubby and I are in a semiopen relationship.
zerofuks2give · 41-45, M
What does that mean exactly?
thememphisbelle · 51-55, F
@NigelDoes: No it does not mean that at all..it is something we have to sit down and talk about and agree upon before acting on it.
thememphisbelle · 51-55, F
@zerofuks2give: It means we cant just do as we wish..we have to sit down and talk it over and agree upon different things and what is the level we are allowed to pursue with the other person and this is not something we do on a regularly basis..it has been two years since I have been with anyone else and he currently is involved with a girl but they are just on the getting to know each other basis right now.

Yeah but I wasn't aware it was an open relationship 😒

😬 ouch!

Yes, or more of a love triangle. It was difficult because they spent a lot of time together when I had nothing else to do and only spent time with me if one of them was at work or something. So that made it very imbalanced. But despite that, it was still an experience I miss almost every day.

It's OK. I just hope to find that kind of love again, preferably monogamous that time. (Though I'm still not against the concept of an open relationship, it seems much easier to find balance if only two people are involved.)
Jakey75 · 61-69, M
Was it difficult for you when you knew they were having sex?
SW-User
@Jakey75: a little. Our bonds didn't get nearly as physical as theirs. The emotional bond was amazing and I'm still very grateful for that while it lasted, but it was difficult to hear about their physical intimacy while not getting any myself.

I'd be open to trying it but I'm not 100% sure it would work. I guess that's a necessary risk though.

maybe. I wouldn't know about that either, lol. I am kind of a jealous person.
JarJarBoom · 41-45, F
It was discussed and the door closed and shut quickly on the prospect
zerofuks2give · 41-45, M
Who closed the door?
SadlySafe · F
No, I never plan on it either... I'm way too protective with the people I love
ManicMicah · 22-25, M
I've wanted one. Too bad my ex wasn't into the idea. Didn't even want to have a threesome either! I ended up cheating on him...huge mistake I know...but at least we ended things for good so I didn't hurt him again. I'd like to have an open relationship because I talk to so many guys and flirt my ass off way too much to be in a committed monogamist relationship.
I'm basically in one rn tbfh if you can call it a relationship 🙃
CaptainCanadia · 41-45, M
No. I'm not opposed to them, but my wife and I dig the monogamy thing.
LanceVance · M
I had a girlfriend who was.
secondtimearound · 31-35, F
Not funny, but I laughed. Sorry hun.
NigelDoes · 56-60, M
No, that would never work for me.
LachrymoseLamer · 51-55, M
I couldn't do that.
SW-User
No and I will never will
Sure, I had a gal and would always open the door for her. Then, one day, she decided that was offensive and we broke up. Now I just let the door slam in everyone's face after I go through.
AvGeek · 31-35, M
I thought they were all open unless officially married🤔
SW-User
most people would disagree with you
AvGeek · 31-35, M
@Aiyana: which is fine with me.
Jakey75 · 61-69, M
My last relationship was open (open for my gf)
Amandanc · F
Wow I'm sorry
Jakey75 · 61-69, M
Thanks. I appreciate that. I got used to the situation and accepted it.

I could be in one. It doesn't bother me. I'm not possessive or anything. :)
fazer1k · 56-60, M
No, that's not something I would consider.
Lakuna · 26-30, M
No, kinda want one now though
zerofuks2give · 41-45, M
Only online 😁
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
I could never handle that
