My girlfriend said she's always wanted to be the one to propose and told me to let her, I better not get the ring first I guess lol.

@Adstar My thought is that women are more independent now and some have left the old ideas that women need men to be happy or need a life partner and they don't care if they get rejected or not when they do pursue a man.

But that's not the majority.. The majority of woman do not want to end up dying alone.. As many hetro woman grow older the more they start to swing from the position your have voiced to one of desiring to be with a man in a permanent life time relationship..
